Katelynn Peters
Katelynn Peters is a Filipino American from Georgia who grew up around her mom’s Filipino friends and their families. As a teen, she struggled with feeling not “Filipino enough” or “American enough,” but has since grown proud of her mixed identity. While attending Georgia Gwinnett College—where there was no Filipino Student Association—friends at KSU introduced her to their FSA. Through that community, she participated in two culture shows and found a deeper connection to her heritage. She graduated in 2022 with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing, and now works as a Campaign Marketing Specialist. She is also a co-founder of the Filipino Leadership Alumni Network (FLAN), created to keep Filipino culture and community alive beyond college. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, and spending time with her cats.
