Nereca Capuno

Nereca Capuno is a recent graduate from Emory University (Class of 2025), where she earned her B.A. in Human Health and a Minor in Nutrition Science. During her college years, Nereca demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the Filipino community. She served as Freshman Representative (2021–2022), Social Media Co‑Director (2022–2023), Treasurer (2023–2024), Leader of the 2nd Georgia FSA Leadership Summit (2024), and Head of the Senior Advisory Board (2024-2025) of the Filipino Student Association (FSA) at Emory. During her last year at Emory, she established and led the first cohort of Senior Advisors. As well as, led and coordinated the 2nd Georgia FSA Leadership Summit alongside 6 Georgia FSAs. Nereca not only mentored FSA underclassmen but connected them to Filipino community groups and leaders within Georgia and nationally. Currently, Nereca maintains an active involvement with the Filipino community by volunteering at numerous Filipino events and non-profits such as Bahaynian Festival, Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, and Makabayan Georgia.
